How do I place a commission?

Where are you based and do you take international commissions?
I am based in the United Kingdom, and I am happy to take commissions from anywhere in the world.
How long is your commission waiting list?
I do not keep a waiting list for commissions. Any commission slots that become available throughout the year will be advertised across my social media and on this website. Please note that I am usually booked up for a year in advance.
I will advertise when I start to take on new commissions across my social media, this website and it will also be featured in my newsletter.
How long does a commission take?
Again, please refer to my Commission Details which can be found here, for an indication of how long a commission might take.
Do you sell true vintage?
I'm afraid that I don't sell true vintage clothing in my Store, only vintage fabrics and sewing patterns. My clothing range is vintage inspired, reproduced using vintage patterns and fabrics, and while I have been kindly told that it looks like the real thing, I can confirm that it is not.
Why isn't all your clothing for sale?
I not only make garments to sell, but I also take commissions. A commission is a garment ordered by a client to fit their specifications and exact dress measurements. I showcase these in my Commission Galleries so that prospective customers can see the quality of my work or gain inspiration, but they are not for sale.
My ready made items are available in the Store section of my website. They are made in the standard dress sizes provided on the vintage patterns I use, as shown below.
How do I make sure I order the right size for me?
To make sure you order the right size, please refer to the garment measurements featured in the listing in my Store, and then compare them to my sizing chart, which can be found here.
Can I purchase any of your sewing patterns?
The sewing patterns in my 'Vintage Pattern Collection' are not for sale. Any sewing patterns that are for sale, can be found in the Store section of my website. I do destash my patterns every so often, so sometimes I will sell some of my collection to make room for new patterns. These patterns can, again, be found in the Store section of my website.
Do you sell at events?
I generally don't sell at events, as most of my work is commission based. However, now that I have started making garments to sell again, there is the chance that I might trade at one or two events per year. If I make the decision to do this, it will be well advertised on my website and across my social media.
Do you ship internationally?

How do I cancel or make changes to an order I’ve already placed?
To cancel or make any changes to an order placed via my website, please contact me at email@example.com.
What payment methods do you accept?
On my store, I accept payment via PayPal and credit/debit card.
Commissions are payable via invoice using PayPal. I also accept bank transfers where requested.
Can I cancel or return a gift card or gift voucher?
Unfortunately my gift cards and vouchers are non-transferable and cannot be cancelled or returned.
Do you accept returns on commissions?
Due to the bespoke nature of commission garments, I am unable to offer them for resale, therefore I do not accept returns or issue refunds on commissions, unless proven faulty.
